Location of the Haus Elisabeth
Obergurgl is situated in the back of the Ötztal Valley at 1,930 metres above sea level and is a high-alpine heaven for mountain lovers and for anyone who would like to be. Whether skiing in winter or walking in summer – in Obergurgl you have a perfect starting point!
Only 5 minutes from the centre of Obergurgl village, Haus Elisabeth occupies a quiet and sunny location by the road to Zirbenwald nature conservation area. This is the way to explore on foot the magnificent mountain region ranging from 2,000 to over 3,000 metres in altitude.
In the winter, there's skiing on the doorstep. Our house is next to the new Gaisberg lift. Enjoy the snow-assured Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area from mid-November until the end of April.
Getting there by car:
Munich – Kufstein (A12 Inntal autobahn) – Innsbruck - Ötztal exit – Obergurgl
Munich – Garmisch – Scharnitz – Telfs – Ötztal – Obergurgl

Drive through the village. Keep to the left when you reach the fork in the road after passing Edelweiß Hotel. After the 2nd house on the left hand side (Jenewein Hotel), the Gaisbergweg (U6) leads steeply up on the left. Follow the Gaisbergweg for about 200 m.
Please ensure that you have snow chains with you in winter. If you should encounter problems driving up the steep road, simply give us a call and we’ll come and pick you up.
